Flourish is a growth mindset and transformation workshop for young people. It will use research of behavioural scientists particularly Carol Dweck, the guru of the growth mindset and Nussbaum, Blackwell, Mangels and Mueller.
We aim to plant seeds of growth mindset in the hearts and minds of the young people and allow these seeds to flourish so they grow up resilient, persevering, curious, conscientious, optimistic, with a strong sense of self, confident and self-restrained.
Why is personal mastery relevant for young people?
Dreams, goals and aspirations require effort, persistence and hard work. In our journey to achieving goals and completing tasks, we may fail, commit mistakes or other people can disappoint us. This is not going to happen one time but we may encounter them often. In this workshop, we will equip learners of resources and take them to an exciting exercise to learn and develop a growth mindset, adaptability and resilience.
