A. What is a Life Manifesto?

A Life Manifesto is a declaration of your beliefs, values, vision, mission, how you overcome challenges and treat people and how you want to spend your time, talent, and treasure that fulfils the highest, truest and fullest expression of God’s will for your life. It also asks existential questions such as which may unravel the mystery of the human identity.

    •         Who are you?

    •            What do you have to say for yourself?

    •            Why do you exist?

    B. Why do you need a Life Manifesto?

Life on earth is a journey of trials and triumphs to achieve why you exist; hence you need light, direction, focus, motivation, support, truths, strategies, encouragement, and rules to live by to help you to show up each day till the finish line.

    • To take charge of your life

    • To strengthen a victorious and overcoming identity

    • To design your life for growth and leadership

    • To provide direction and meaning in trials, struggles and hardships

    D. How to write a Life Manifesto?

You may write your principles in each dimension [spiritual, health, family, social, money, dealing with mistakes and failures, challenges, etc.] of your life based on truths that resonate with you or have pivotally impacted you. These can come from the Bible or from the wisdom of people you respect, like your parents, teachers, experts or philosophers.

The ethos in writing your Life Manifesto are:

    •            3 Ps - Use positive, purposeful and powerful language.

    •            Do not use buzzwords, jargon and technical words.

    •            Make your statements short and straightforward, written in the present tense.

    Example:

    SPIRITUAL

Everything I have including my life belongs to God.

“For My hand made all these things; thus, all these things came into being.”  Isaiah 66:2

    HEALTH

I eat healthy food, get 8 hours of sleep and take responsibility to maintain it as a healthy dwelling of the Holy Spirit.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” – Hippocrates
